- The publisher was a german firm called "GFA Systemtechnik". After encountering
- _severe_ problems with GFA Basic in the Amiga-Version, they decided to _totally_
- _drop_ the product. Last thing i heard was that they went into producing
- GFA Basic for Windows. This also answers your UNIX/DOS question from below.

- You will not be very happy with the GFA Basic compiler. I do have both,
- GFA Basic 3.51 and the corresponding compiler, but you should be aware
- of the fact that the compiler is _extremely_ buggy. As is the interpreter.
-
- IMHO, no sensible Amiga programmer can take up the responsibility for
- publishing programs written in GFA Basic. I even don't use GFA-Basic
- programs, neither interpreted nor compiled, anymore since they used to
- constantly crashed my machine. I often called and faxed bug reports to
- GFA Systemtechnik pointing out enforcer hits and other bugs (like
- the compiler swaping arguments versus the interpreter), and even phoned
- up the programmer (some dutch guy), all to the result that they gave
- me promisses to work on the problems and suddely dropped all the
- development.
-
- I was so angry, i thought about sueing them. Instead, I purchased
- DICE (some of the first shareware versions) and lived happily ever after.
-
- But, if you really want a GFA Compiler, you could very cheaply by mine.
-
- But be warned, you propably will encounter strange behaviour starting with
- OS 2.0 and above.

- Look above.
